This is not a company microsite. There is no product SKU hiding behind the masthead. Software Lifecycle exists to publish dense, useful editorial — and to sustain that work through subscribers, advertising, and content sponsors who want to reach practitioners without turning every page into a pitch.

“Treat the site like a magazine that happens to live on the web: masthead, sections, bylines, sponsor slots — not a SaaS funnel with a blog bolted on.”

What we cover

  • Profiles — how frontier and headline organizations pressure-test software lifecycles (starting with a SpaceX-scale ops mindset piece).
  • History — Waterfall, RUP, RAD, Agile, and the methods coming back around.
  • Editorials — arguments about vibe coding, requirements, teams, and tooling categories.
  • Reviews — honest looks at hubs, guides, and platforms teams already use.

Subscribers

Advertising

Display and newsletter inventory will sit in clearly labeled slots (see homepage sponsor placeholder). Ads do not rewrite editorial conclusions. Rate card and specs will publish here when inventory opens.

Content sponsors

Sponsored briefs and underwritten explainers are marked as such. Sponsors do not choose our verdicts in Reviews. If you want to underwrite a topic in history, tooling categories, or lifecycle governance, start at the address on the domain WHOIS / contact channel Dave publishes for the brand.

Logo status

The current mark is a placeholder: CSS/SVG orbit node in ink, hazard orange, CRT green, and copper. Final logo pieces will be chosen separately and should drop onto these colors without a redesign.

Formerly “Company”

An earlier company.html framing read too much like a corporate microsite. That URL now redirects here. The publication model is the product.
